BREAKING: Junior Developer Amused By Senior Engineer’s Story About How He Used To “Literally Have Stand-Up Meetings”​

BRAÎNE-L’ALLEUD, BELGIUM—After growing tired of working remotely, a group of senior engineers decided to meet up again in the office. This came as a nice surprise for junior engineer Thomas Molle, who for the first time met in person with his team.

“Before, we used to literally have stand-up meetings in the morning”, said a senior engineer, while Thomas opened his eyes in amusement. “We would get up from our desks, meet up near the white board, and have a fifteen minute meeting while we were all standing up”.

According to sources, Thomas was heard chuckling on his own, as he imagined the team in front of the board every single day.

“It’s been quite an experience so far, to come to the office”, said Thomas, “but I am ready to go back to having my standup meetings while sitting down”.

At publishing time, the senior engineer was found staring at the white board while nostalgically tearing up a little. “I do miss the good ol’ standing-up-meeting days”, he said softly.
